Questions, answered properly.

We don't publish prices, because the honest answer depends on what the site has to do. A one-page site for a tradesperson and a twelve-page site with a booking flow are not the same job, and pretending otherwise with a headline number helps nobody.

What we do promise is a fixed price agreed in writing before any work starts. Tell us what you need and you get the real number back, not a range.

Most sites are online in one to two weeks from the point we have what we need to start. Bigger builds take longer, and if yours is one of those the quote says so and gives its own date rather than letting it drift.

A monthly plan. A smaller amount gets the site designed and built, then a monthly fee covers hosting it, keeping it patched and backed up, watching that it stays up, and making changes when your business changes. This is the one we recommend, and the one we lead with.

A one-off build. You pay once, own it outright, and the source files are handed over at the end. No contract, no lock-in. Hosting is available separately if you want it.

Hosting and the SSL certificate. Backups taken on a schedule and kept off the server. Security patching on a regular pass rather than when something breaks. Uptime monitoring, so we find out before you do. Content update slots each month. And a person who already knows your site to email, rather than a support desk reading about it for the first time.

You do. Your domain is registered in your name, not ours. If you ever leave, it goes with you, and there is no release fee for handing over something that was always yours.

The monthly plan includes content update slots. New prices, new opening hours, a new member of staff: send it over and it gets done in your slot.

If being able to edit pages yourself matters to you, say so early. It changes how the site should be built, and it is a much easier thing to plan for at the start than to bolt on afterwards.

The monthly plan has a twelve month minimum term, then runs monthly and either of us can end it with 30 days' notice.

When you leave we give you an export of the site files and content, and your domain is already in your name. Nothing is held back to make leaving awkward.

We re-quote in writing, and nothing further happens until you say yes or no. You will never open an invoice for work you did not agree to first. That is the entire point of fixing the price up front.

Almost certainly. We don't specialise in one industry, which means we come to your site asking what it actually has to do rather than reaching for the same template we used for the last one.

A sense of what the site has to do, the text and images you want on it, and answers when we ask questions. Most delays on a website build are content delays rather than build delays, so the sooner that arrives the sooner you are live.
